Bacon Radish Kohlrabi Sautee
Any side dish made with the flavor of dark greens and bacon will get my full attention. After receiving a full share of veggies and greens from our local CSA (farm share), I had to come up with new recipes that would delight the taste buds of my picky non-green eaters. This one worked!
That's a lot of lettuce!
1 Tbsp Garlic, minced
3 Green Onions, chopped
1 bunch Radishes, sliced
1 pkg Turkey Bacon, chopped
1 Kohlrabi, leaves and stems chopped (bulb kept for cool dipping)
Cook the radishes, onions and garlic in 1 Tbsp coconut oil until tender. Add turkey bacon and fry up crisp or really hot. Then add greens and cook down until wilted. Season with Sea Salt and Pepper. Serve hot.
A great side to steak or brats. Leftovers are fabulous in omelets and scrambled eggs!
