Rosemary Red Cabbage


 
I originally found this great recipe in my Paleo Diet book, Practical Paleo, while on an anti-inflammatory diet. "Granny's Apple Cabbage" It is delicious. I paired it with Ground Turkey seasoned with sage, rosemary and salt. Mixed together or serve as a side, your taste buds will thank you. My children have an aversion to red onions, but because they couldn't see them, they ate them!
 
This is honestly good with any kind of meat! Venison,  Beef,  Turkey,... like this Kielbasa

Directions:
Sautee together in 2+ Tbsp coconut oil
1 head red cabbage, sliced
2 (any kind) apple,  sliced thin
1 med. red onion, long thin slices 
1 Tbsp Rosemary, dried
2 Tbsp Sage,  dried/crushed
1 Tbsp (Himalayan pink) sea salt

In another pan, brown
3lb ground beef or turkey
drain and then season with 
salt, rosemary and sage (1Tbsp each)

When both cooked,  combine first or serve cabbage as the noodles with meat on top.
